Privacy Policy

xplo is built and maintained by Pythia Software, a Colorado LLC. xplo respects your privacy. Here's what you need to know about using the xplo app through the web and API connected to this site:

What We Collect

  • Your email and name (from Google/Firebase backed sign-in)
  • Files you upload for analysis
  • Analysis results generated from your files
  • Basic analytics data about site usage
  • Anything you send us through the contact form — your name, email, and message

How We Use Your Data

  • To compile your spreadsheet on our servers — we parse your Excel file, analyze formula dependencies, generate native code, and run it through a wide range of optimization steps. This processing happens server-side; once compiled, simulations run locally in your browser or on your machine, or if you choose, through our hosted offerings.
  • To save your the results of analyzing your spreadsheets so you can resume your work
  • Basic analytics to improve the service, like finding gaps in our excel runner, and making it faster over time
  • To protect our site against folks trying to exploit it or run malicious code

Service Providers

We don't sell your data or hand it to anyone for their own purposes. A small number of vendors process it on our behalf, only to run the service:

  • Google Cloud hosts the app and stores your files.
  • Google reCAPTCHA checks that contact form submissions come from a person rather than a bot. It receives browser and interaction signals from that page only, under Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
  • Twilio delivers contact form submissions to us as email.
  • Neon.tech stores core metadata information in our primary DB.
  • Honeycomb.io stores information aobut processing latencies and page speeds.

What We Don't Do

  • We never sell your data
  • We don't share your data with anyone beyond the service providers above, and never for their own purposes
  • We won't send you marketing emails or junk

Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is kept until you delete it. You can delete your files and account data anytime through the app.
